Wow, it seems like a Grind For Life, is taking the old school competitions and injecting them with some STEROIDS for a contemporary feel. With the demise of the original Reese Forbes High Ollie Quicksilver Challenge, many other entities took it upon themselves to create their own Ollie Contest at this year’s Ollie Contest. I heard that there will be an Ollie Contest at Sea World and the winner gets to swim with Shamu. I heard through the grapevine of another contest in Tijuana, Mexico where the winner will get the opportunity to ride a MEXICAN ZEBRA.
But it looks like GFL got the organization skills to make things really happen. Plus they’re adding a new and amazing contest: The HOSOI JUMP RAMP JAM to benefit Grind For Life. Earthbound (the DJ’s representing Curiculum Mag.com) will have the 1’s & 2’s fired up. Friday Jan. 23. 4-6 pm $500 to the winner, Bones Swiss bearings for a lucky few, Free beer for everyone and a good time for all.
