Greg Lutzka’s Brand New Sponsor

It’s a new day in skateboarding. Just yesterday it was reported that Tony Hawk, The HAWK MAN-X himself, just got the boot from Neversoft’s video game roster. You couldn’t see that coming. A few weeks ago news spread like wild fire that skateboarding’s dread locked hero, NYJAH HUSTON, parted ways with Element Skateboards. And just yesterday, I went to Best Buy and found out that they no longer make P-ROD and his dad’s classic movie “A MILLION TO JUAN” on DVD anymore. Paul is so cute as a kid. Do I smell prejudice against skaters? Has the skateboarding bubble burst, again? Like it did in the 80’s and 90’s?
Not today! If you were paying any attention, you would have known that CHAZ ORTIZ (no relationship to the Hungtington Beach Bad Boy, TITO ORTIZ) just signed a sponsorship deal with the only rejuvenating drink in my opinion, Gatorade. But the huge sponsorships don’t end there with these lads from the skateboard industry. GREG LUTZKA just announced a sponsorship deal with TOYOTA. The JAPANESE CAR (buy American) manufacturer will be releasing a limited edition Toyota MATRIX Greg Lutzka Signature Model. I don’t know if the bumpers are skateable, or if you can pull a launch ramp out of the trunk. But what I do know is that GREG LUTZKA, a skater, just got a sponsorship deal that would make any RICE ROCKET loving poser cream his pants.
Now I can just imagine the other car companies jumping on the bandwagon and bag a skater of their own. Ryan Sheckler with his “go big or go home” mentality riding for CHEVY and their S-10 Series. Mikey Taylor and his big dreams of becoming an even bigger skater getting picked up by the FORD ASPIRE. Nyjah Huston and his laid back personality getting to ride for the VW BUS. There’s no doubt in my mind that this will all come to fruition. Go over to page via skatedaily.net for more info on his ride.
