It’s been an amazing few months for Chaz Ortiz. After winning the Dew Cup a couple of months ago, he’s gotten some big recognition within the skate industry. Now, he has a deal with Gatorade, the only legitimate energy drink, and looks to be getting some international recognition. Who would have thunk it? If he didn’t win the Dew Cup, I’m willing to bet there’s no contract with Gatorade.
Gatorade just had a makeover, looking very similar to the GZA from the Wu Tang Clan. With their makeover, they sponsored a plethora of new athletes from all walks of life. Chaz Ortiz included. Check out the new Gatorade spot below featuring their athletes.
The commercial is pretty cool and awesomely amazing to see so many legends in one frame. Although I’m pretty sure a few people will say, “Who the hell is that kid?” when he comes up because I found myself saying that for a few of the featured athletes. Especially for the masked mimes at the end. I think they’re from CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.

Just so you know the “mimes” are definintly NOT from cirque de soleil. They are the Jabbawockeez, a dance crew that is freakin’ AMAZING!!
