After a long hot day’s worth of extreme Rollerblading, it’s 99.999% certain that you will need to re-hydrate your body (the .001% looks like this GUY).  It’s no mistake either that most of you probably won’t go anywhere near a water fountain.  You’re conditioned after years of watching KOOL-AID commercials that beverages with succulent taste is a lot more satisfying that plain old water.  I personally like to drink Tampico.

But what if you were a good enough blader to be sponsored and you were forced to drink your sponsors beverage after a very hot day?  Whould you feel satisfied going for that Rockstar?  Maybe if you wore tight LEATHER pants.  Or how about downing a Red Bull?  Sorry brah.  You should know those are only for my all night HAPPY HARDCORE parties.

Unfortunately for the folks riding for those companies, they won’t ever quench their thirst.  Fortunately for them though, they’re making loads and loads of money while they dehydrate.

But that’s not the case for Chaz Ortiz, Ellery Hollinsworth, and Nigel Sylvester.  They are loading up on some essential electrolytes.  The same company that quenches Derek Jeter, Dwayne Wade, and Peyton Manning now sponsors these three lucky extreme enthusiasts.  For the first time in the company’s history, GATORADE has sponsored a skater, snowboarder, and a BMX rider (Hey, where’s the Rollerblader!?)  That’s awesome.  It looks like these sports won’t be fading from the corporate world for a long time.  Maybe they’ll make a commercial called “Skaterade”.
