The Maloof Money Cup Expanding

Due to the ultra lackadaisical, below par, and essentially depressing play of the SACRAMENTO KINGS franchise, it looks like the MALOOF brothers are redirecting their attention on an entity more profitable and in essence, more fun to watch.  If you were thinking Vegas, given they own the Palms Casino and Resort, that’s what I was thinking as well.  Magic is a very ‘in” thing these days.

Maybe give CRISS ANGEL or SIEGFRIED FISHBACHER a permanent residence.  I guess it would be safe to say, “Magic is the new black”.  I even read this book last year that says you can pick up any chick you want by breaking the ice with a magic trick.  Unfortunately for girls, millions of other dudes read that book and many of them were coincidentally carrying a deck of cards with them.   I didn’t want to make a fool of myself my carrying cards like all these other geeks so I wore a magical TOP HAT to parties.

Sorry for rambling so much about magic when this article has nothing to do with magic and neither do the Maloofs.  No, they’re actually expanding their skateboard competition.  In case you didn’t know, the Maloofs experimented with this little contest this past year called “The Maloof Money Cup”.  It was okay.  The top winner, which was P-ROD, took home a hundred grand.  Not bad.  It’s not magician money but it’s pretty good for a skater I guess.

Well the Maloofs are expanding their contest based off the success of its first year.  If you caught the contest on TV, you probably missed a lot since it was comprised over 3 days.  What was only an hour long special, will now be 3 ½ hours of gnarlyness.  It’s going to be dope.
