Powder & Rails : Snowboarders In Exile

I don’t know if it’s my Attention Deficit Disorder of my inability to pay attention to close details right away but at the beginning of this episode of “Powder & Rails” I was thinking, what the hell is this? I knew that they were going to archive footage but the narration sounded horrible. Like a 1980’s narration from that show “That’s Incredible”. But to my surprise, the excerpt included the narration and as you can see from this episode “Snowboarders In Exile”, many of those involved were pretty embarrassed of the look and feel of the video but will always stand by it.
Snowboarders in Exile was the hit. FLF had made a small stir with The Western Front, but Exile actually created a movement. It solidified the video-pro as a legit career path, and made FLF the first legitimate snowboard filmmakers. In the years following, Jerry Dugan and Arthur Krehbiel helped both Standard Films and Mack Dawg Productions get off the ground and on their way to becoming two of the biggest snowboarding production companies going today. The main riders in the video, Damian Sanders, Steve Graham, Dave Seoane, and Chris Roach, became household names everywhere and not just in California.
