You know what team I enjoyed watching a lot back in the day?  The Menace team.  Of course they don’t exist anymore nor do I know if those guys skate anymore either.  But they were so fun to watch because those guys gave a different persona in a time when skaters were all about punk rock and or hessian bands.  Not to say they all were, but the majority of skaters were into what I like to call “headache music”.  Then comes around a team with a different perspective.  The kind of perspective I’m accustomed to.  Billy Valdez, Eric Pupecki, Fabian Alomar, and my favorite Joey Suriel made up Menace and I think they had a hand in changing skateboarding’s image forever.

More than 10 year later, teams like Menace are the norm. The  really tore it up on this month’s edition of the Berrics’ United Nations segment.  You can’t deny that these guys are now the hardest gangsta’s on skateboards.  You have probably already seen this but just in case, check it out.  It’s sick!
