It’s been a bad secret for weeks now but the Rip Curl Pro Search is scheduled to take place at Padang-Padang in Bali and a recent incident won’t change things.
A ship was left abandoned by its crew and washed up right in the middle of the line-up where it threatened to disrupt the contest, which has a holding period from July 30 to August 10.
However, the ship has recently been pushed by large waves into rocks, opening up the break for the contest to run as planned.
It will be the first ASP World Tour event in Indonesia in 11 years.
