2007 X-Dance Winners

The 2007 Lat34 X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival closed out on Tuesday, January 23, when awards were handed out in 12 categories. The top winner on the night was the Jacques Russo documentary "Let it Ride," about the life and death of legendary snowboarder Craig Kelly. "Let it Ride" took home two awards, including Best Film and Best Soundtrack. Other key winners include Brian Deegan's "Disposable Hero: The Brian Deegan Story" for Best Biography, Jamie Housian and "The Collective" ("Roam") for Best Director and Travis Pastrana for Athlete of the Year (in "Lock 'n Load").

• Best Documentary: "Stuntwood: The Birth, Life, and Death of a Skateboard"
• Best Emerging Filmmaker: David Rogerson and Steve Nemsick for "Pray for Me:  The Jason Jessee Film"
• Best Short Film: "Fresh Kicks"

• Athlete of the Year: Travis Pastrana in "Lock N’ Load"

• Lifetime Achievement Award:  Gary Fisher

Frank Scura was also honored for developing the Action Sports Environmental Coalition (ASEC)
